The photos from this Winnie the Pooh Party were taken nearly a year ago. It was for our youngest son’s 3rd birthday party. He chose the theme, a decision based solely on a dress up costume we have had since our first son was around his age. As the photos show it has been well worn!
Along with the Winnie the Pooh theme I went with red and white for brightness and fun.
Summertime makes it easy to have the party outside!
Buckets to take home and paint with water at the party.
Pooh bear biscuits to decorate – an easy cookie cutter recipe here.
Fun with fly swats and balloons.
Good old fashioned honey joys.
Fruit kebabs with marshmallows.
Little bottles of orange mineral water.
Time for elvenses – mini hot dogs, sausage rolls and BLTs.
Honeycomb ice cream cake, made into the shape of a bear face.
Then once everyone had left it was time to open and enjoy the presents!
Winnie the Pooh Party Outtakes
Someone once asked me recently, do all my new recipes work out – short answer NO! A case in point is cake pops. In the days leading up to this Winnie The Pooh party I had my third attempt at making cake pops.
These cake pops were supposed to be extra special and be in the shape of a bear. I was going to cover them in white chocolate and draw faces on them with an edible marker. After the prescribed time in the fridge, they looked ridiculous and fell apart as I tried to stick the lollipop sticks into them.
I didn’t give up easily and tried all sorts of things to salvage them. I shouldn’t have though. I reckon I lost over three hours on them!
Is there anything you have given up on trying to make?
