Field Of Women – Friday May 7, 2010

When I was contacted and asked if I could help promote the Pink Bun Fundraising campaign, having known a number of people who have been affected by breast cancer, I was happy to lend my support.

The Pink Bun fundraising campaign runs from 22 April to 12 May, and sees all 630 Bakers Delight bakeries across Australia donate 100 per cent of the sale of Pink Finger Buns, Pink Tarts and Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) Pink Lady silhouettes. The aim is to raise $1 million for BCNA to help fund its work in providing support and assistance to those women whose lives have been personally affected by breast cancer.

The campaign is highlighted with the Field of Women event, happening before the AFL game between Melbourne & Western Bulldogs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground this Friday 7 May.

About BCNA

Breast Cancer Network Australia is the peak national organisation for Australians personally affected by breast cancer. They work to ensure that Australians diagnosed with breast cancer and their families receive the very best information, treatment, care and support possible, no matter who they are or where they live. They are represented by the Pink Lady silhouette, which depicts our focus; the women diagnosed with breast cancer. Over the past 10 years, Bakers Delight has raised more than $3.7 million for BCNA, directly supporting thousands of Australian women and their families through their breast cancer journey.
