Achieving Your Goals

Pacing and Planning

Ensuring I meet my goals over the next couple of months is critical for me. I find that once term four starts in October, we are on the downhill run to Christmas and everything just seems to speed up then!

Throughout July, as you would have read on the blog, I undertook some preparation and planning for Christmas 2013. While not necessary writing about it on the blog, this is something I will continue to do. This month I am going to start some present shopping.

It can seem kind of odd to do some of these things so far in advance, but the end of the year is always a busy time for our family. End of school, two birthdays, Christmas, travel and so on. Pacing the work throughout the quieter months means I can actually enjoy the festive season more and not feel so stressed.

Some other things I would like to knock off my to do list before October are:

  • Kids’ toy cull.
  • Declutter my wardrobe.
  • Reogranise the crockery and glassware in the kitchen cupboards – need to use this space better than what I am currently doing.
  • Declutter the attic – as the youngest is now 4.5 years old, there would be much in there that I don’t really need, but am simply hanging on to.
