Baby No. 5

You may not have noticed my absence for the last few days, due to the magic of scheduled posts, but last Thursday, 22nd January our beautiful son arrived at 9.11am. Complete with a thick head of curly hair, he weighed 4.16kg (9 pound 2) and was 54cm long. We arrived home today and he is bringing great joy to us all.

I have further scheduled posts for this week and will be online only in a limited capacity, as the older children prepare to start back at school at the end of the week. Apologies for a delay in responding to email/comments, I will make my way through them eventually!

    Well that was handy timing to have number 5 just before your kids go back to school. You can probably do the baby thing with your eyes shut now. Congratulations. I’m glad all is well.

    I have to unlurk and say congratulations – How lovely for you, my number five is very special… I think as you go down the line they just get more and more loved as there are more and more siblings to share the love! Just remember when it gets totally hectic that peace will return again and the wonderful days are so worth the chaotic moments.

    Oh CONGRATUALTIONS!!! I have been waiting for this post. From one of your other posts I figured it had to be before your kids went back to school. What a great weight! My oldest was a little bigger then they all got smaller. Hope your feeling well too.

    Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughts. Junior is doing brilliantly and I am actually getting a reasonable amount of sleep at the moment……but with newborns this could change any minute so I am enjoying each day!

    This past January 22nd, I was celebrating a birthday as well…my son Evan turned 7. Interesting enough he also was 9 lb, 2 oz and was 22 inches long, so our boys were nearly identical. :-)
