Mini Easter Egg Nests

Ingredients
  

  • 600 grams milk chocolate
  • 300 grams  fried noodles
  • 400 grams  speckled Easter eggs

  • You could use any size muffin tray for these nests; I used a larger muffin size where the top (largest part) of the muffin hole was 10cm wide. Measure out and cut baking paper squares of approximately 14cm x14cm or at least a couple of centimetres bigger than the width of the muffin hole.
  • Break up the chocolate into single pieces and place in a heavy based microwave safe bowl. Heat on high for 60 seconds and then stir. If the chocolate is almost melted with a few lumps left, keep stirring until the chocolate is completely smooth. If your chocolate is still not fully melted, heat again for 15 second bursts and repeat this process until melted.
  • Add the noodles to the chocolate, mix until they are completely covered in chocolate and well combined.
  • Add two heaped tablespoons of the chocolate mixture to each muffin hole. Using the back of the spoon, push the noodles in an upward direction onto the baking paper to create the bowl shape of the nest. Continue this process until the mixture has been finished.
  • Place the muffin trays into the fridge to set for at least two hours. They can be left overnight in the fridge.
  • Remove from the fridge just before serving and place the nests on a serving tray, and add the speckled eggs to each nest. They can also be stored like this in an airtight container in the fridge.
