Roasted Almond Butter Recipe

  • 4 cups (about 580 grams) almonds
  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
  2. Line trays with baking paper and spread almonds out in single layers.
  3. Place in oven and roast for 10 - 12 minutes.
  4. Almonds should darken slightly.
  5. Wait for almonds to cool before placing them into food processor and pulse.
  6. Stop every minute or so and scrape down the sides of the bowl, then pulse again.
  7. Repeat this process until the almond butter is the consistency you desire.
  8. It should start to become shiny and you should see that the nuts have released their oils when it is ready.
  9. Store in an airtight container in the fridge.
