Fruit Cups
Recipe type: birthdays
  • 1 rock melon
  • ½ honey dew
  • ½ watermelon
  • 24 muffin cases
  • A melon baller
  1. Scoop out the seeds from the rock melon and honey dew.
  2. Scoop out the flesh of the melons with the melon baller. To get fully shaped balls I found it worked best to move the baller to the completely upright position to finish the scoop.
  3. Place the balls in the muffin cases as you go, mixing up the colours, for effect.
  4. Add a party topper if you like! I actually decided against these in the end, as I thought the points at the bottom of the toppers, might be a little dangerous at the kinder Christmas party!
  5. Keep refrigerated until ready to eat. These are best made close to the time they need to be eaten.
  6. And despite being placed between twisties, burger rings and cheese balls all the fruit cups were quickly eaten!
