Recipe type: birthdays
Ingredients:
  • 20 vanilla wafers
  • M&Ms - 20 red, green and yellow
  • 300 grams dairy milk chocolate
  • 30 grams butter
  • 20 lollipop sticks
Method:
  1. Sort out your M&Ms so you have 20 red, yellow and green ones. Melt 50 grams of chocolate in a heavy microwave safe dish on high for 45 seconds in the microwave. (Time varies depending on your microwave.)
  2. Using a knife, spread chocolate onto the wafer biscuit and then adhere the lollipop stick.
  3. Place on a tray lined with baking paper. Repeat this step for all 20 wafers, then place in the fridge so chocolate sets. This takes about 10 - 15 minutes.
  4. Once the stick is firmly attached, melt remaining chocolate with the butter on high for about 1.5 minutes. Again the time will vary depending on your microwave. Tips: break up the chocolate into small pieces and listen to the microwave as the butter will start to bubble and you can use this as an indicator as to when it is ready.
  5. You will need to stir chocolate vigorously to make sure the butter blends well.
  6. I used a combination of spoon to cover the biscuit with chocolate, then a knife to smooth it off and remove excess chocolate.
  7. Place them back on the baking paper and then add a red, yellow and green M&M. Place in the fridge to set. I left ours overnight, but imagine they would take at least 30 - 45 minutes to set.
  8. And you can image what the kids ate first!
