Breakfast Smoothie You Can Make Ahead!

Ingredients:
  • ¼ cup oats
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 cup low fat milk
  • ¼ cup low-fat yogurt
  • ½ cup frozen raspberries
  • ½ frozen banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method:
  1. In the blender place oats and chia seeds. Blend on high for about 2 minutes, give the mixture a stir around and then blend for another minute or until texture of flour.
  2. Add milk to the blender and stir a little to make sure the oats and seeds are mixed in.
  3. Pour in the yogurt, vanilla extract and the frozen fruit.
  4. Blend on high for about a minute and a half.
  5. Pour into jars and place in the fridge. They will need to be there for a minimum of four hours so the oats & chia seeds will soften.
  6. When you are ready for your Breakfast Smoothie, simply give it a thorough shake before you drink it.
  7. The smoothies will last a couple of days in the jars in the fridge.
