Ingredients:
  • 1 pkt Chang's Original Fried Noodles (100 grams)
  • 2 tbspns crunchy peanut butter
  • 200 grams of chocolate
  • approx 18 small Easter Eggs
Method:
  1. Find a bowl or cup that is the size you would like to make your nest. Line the bowls with baking paper. To make it easier for the kids to do, I cut the baking paper up into smaller squares which would fit into the bowls more easily.
  2. In a microwave safe bowl, break up chocolate into small chunks.
  3. Add peanut butter and melt on high for about 60 seconds.
  4. Stir the chocolate mixture and if it is not melted, heat for repetitive short bursts (15 secs) until the chocolate mixture has completely melted.
  5. Add the noodles and mix well.
  6. Spoon mixture into the bowls. Aim to have a thinner base and build up the nest around the edges, using the spoon to help shape the chocolate nest.
  7. Pop them into the fridge to set. They take about an hour.
  8. Lift the nest out of the bowl by pulling up on the baking paper. Peel the baking paper off and add your Easter eggs to the nest. We are placing ours in cellophane bags and tying them up ribbon.
  9. This recipe makes three larger nests. We are going to make more than three, but I have had bad experiences when I try to double the mixture, so we are making them in batches.
