11 unique Christmas gift ideas for Aussie teens

This post is part of my 2020 Christmas series. Click here to find other posts in the series.

This post on unique Christmas gift ideas for Aussie teens is aimed at older teens around 15+. I find that this age group can be challenging to buy for. I have curated gift ideas that are hopefully a little different from what you will find on a standard Christmas gift guide and the teenager in your life will love these gifts.

They have been given the tick of approval by the teens in my house! Where possible I have tried to link to products from smaller Australian businesses as we all know after the year they have had, they can certainly do with some extra sales.

Solid cologne

low tox cologne for teens

Bondi Local – is the maker of solid cologne, which as it name suggests is handmade in Bondi. Each pocket sized bar of Bondi Local is about 5x smaller than your run of the mill cologne.

The colognes are designed as a highly concentrated bar so you don’t need to use loads of it to smell great. To use it you simply rub your thumb or finger in the wax and then transfer the wax onto your pulse points (Wrists, Neck, and Behind the Ear).

There’s no nasty surprises or cheap fillers in their colognes, every bar of Bondi local is a handmade blend of natural oils and waxes. For example, their Third Ramp offering has the following ingredients:

  • Beeswax
  • Coconut Oil
  • Fragrance
  • Jojoba Oil
  • Shea Butter
  • Top Notes – Basil, bergamot, citrus, clary sage, lemon
  • Middle Notes – Cardamom, pine, geranium, lavender, white floral
  • Base Notes – Musk, patchouli, sandalwood, woods, resins, amber

You can check out the other available scents here.

They currently have a campaign on Pozible for yearly and monthly journals are printed locally in Melbourne, on 100% recycled paper, and with non-toxic inks.

They have a number of reward options you can take up but I have pledged to the 10 x Yearly Journals so will be added one to each of the kids stockings this year. These journals are designed to make end-of-year self-reflection accessible and enjoyable.

They are a beautifully-designed, A6, saddle-stitched, 42-page journal with 1 guided Bloom self-reflection process, fit for one year. It guides you through a simple and positive-psychology-informed Bloom process of Hindsight, Insight & Foresight: looking back, looking in, and looking forward.

Be sure you look at all of the photos for the item you are thinking of buying as they will have close-ups of any marks, small holes etc that is on the clothing – they are real vintage items and may have some wear and tear that comes with that.

Body brush

Christmas gift ideas for teens

Body brushing is indeed a thing and there are many claims about what it can do you for you, some of which are true and others maybe not so. Unfortunately it won’t remove cellulite but it will do the following:

The mechanical action of dry brushing is wonderful for exfoliating dry winter skin. It also helps detoxify by increasing blood circulation and promoting lymph flow/drainage. Dry brushing unclogs pores in the exfoliation process. It also stimulates your nervous system, which can make you feel invigorated afterward. {source}

Black Chicken Remedy is an Australian owned and operated, 100% natural skincare company that harnesses the power of nature to create remedial products. You can purchase the brush online here.
