We are really onto the run home for 2019 now – only two months left. In my October travels there was very much a “woman” focus to things I listened to and read, so I have added some products focused on women as well that I thought you might like!
As always your feedback is welcomed and if you have any additions you think would fit with this theme, please feel free to add to them in the comments!

Unloved Daughters and the Problem of Unmet Goals – an interesting article for mums of daughters to read and for all women as we are all daughters.
While I’m neither a psychologist nor a therapist, I have spent more than a decade researching the effects on daughters whose emotional needs weren’t met in childhood, primarily by their mothers. While my evidence is anecdotal and not scientific, I’ve found that these daughters either end up high-achievers or chronic under-achievers; there appears to be little middle ground. It’s an observation worth keeping in mind as you think about where you fit in.
Cortisol: the chronic stress hormone – Dr Libby provides a great explanation as to why eating less when you are in periods of high cortisol (stress) can give you the opposite affect you were after.

Dr. Stacy sims on why women are not small men – This is a fantastic episode from the team at The Mind Muscle Project. There is such great information on how women can train effectively within the different stages of their menstrual cycle and why going on the oral contraceptive pill may not be a great idea.
Kate Northrup – Do Less, Surrender Your Control, Yoga Nidra – if you find that you easily get caught up in doing more all the time, then this is an excellent episode for you! I loved this line from the podcast by Kate
worth is in who we are not what we do
Kate goes on to point out that if you think you are defined by what you do, you will always be exhausted. Doing more things doesn’t mean you will me more successful, but you will be more tired!
I would love to see what have you been reading and listening to lately!
