May finds – products, posts and podcasts

Time for the May instalment of my finds post. It is a monthly wrap up of fantastic finds I have found in terms of online products, post to read and podcasts to listen to.

This month there is a bit of tech theme to it plus some super sales I have come across too!

Product finds

Desktop Organiser – A compact desktop organiser with electronics storage and charging station. Made from eco friendly, sustainable timber.

Handcrafted Laptop & Keyboard Stand – Reclaimed Australian Pine Wood – Eco friendly – This portable laptop stand is made from Australian reclaimed solid pine-wood and gives you the ideal ergonomic setting.

Robert Welch Signature Knife Block Set with Sharpener – great knives are key to an efficient weekly prep sessions. These fab knives are currently on sale from $695.95 down to $399.95

Scanpan Impact 20 Cm Fry Pan – I have this size and a larger Scanpan frying pan and they are fantastic. The handle doesn’t get too hot and the kids can still handle them. They also clean up well from the hard work they do from the learning cooks in our house! This too is on sale down from $69.95 to $38.00

Hape Quadrilla Super Spiral Marble Run – our kids had a marble run (not quite as fancy as this) and it is one of the few toys I have kept since they have grown up. The younger two will still get it out and set up.

Fine Motor Skills 6 piece set – this set is perfect for rainy days to keep little hands occupied and entertained.

Sweat Times Bra – I am a relative newcomer to Lululemon bras. I had the mindset that I needed to have a full on sports bra with underwire. Having tested out a few Lulu bras now I am happy to say I was wrong! Not all their styles work for me but I have a few that fit really well and are much more comfortable than the traditional sports bras I had been wearing. This one is currently on sale down from $65 to $44.

All Days Vest – In winter in Melbourne it is pretty much uniform to wear something black and puffy! This Lululemon vest is currently reduced from $189 to $129.

Terracotta Warriors & Cai Guo-Qiang, NGV International, Melbourne – Joyce from Tot Hot or Not writes the most comprehensive reviews of kids activities in Melbourne and she accompanies them with beautiful photos! After reading this I will definitely be taking the younger kids along to see this exhibition.
3 Reasons Why Humans Hate Change – Ellen’s post on change is a great insight into how we humans work!

Recommended podcasts

When Your Gut Tells You It’s Time to END Your Company – I love the Zig Zag podcast and this is a cracker episode. I love hearing other intelligent women talk on topical issues.

Jenny Odell and the art of attention – The artist and author talks to Ezra Klein about overstimulation and the difference between productivity and creativity. It made me think quite a bit about creativity, busyness and sitting with silence.
