Christmas gift ideas – experiences and subscriptions

It can be challenging to come up with unique Christmas gift ideas – something you haven’t bought family and friends before. We tend to give physical gifts more often than we do experiences or subscription based gifts, so today I am sharing a list of experiences and subscriptions that you can buy instead of a physical gift!

Funfields

We recently went to Funfields and the kids and their friends had the best time. Perfect gifts for kids who are going to be in Melbourne these summer holidays.

Trees Adventure

Give the gift of adventure this Christmas with a voucher to Trees Adventure so someone you know can enjoy a break surrounded by beautiful treetops! Soar through the treetops of the Dandenongs on an array of flying foxes, tight ropes and tunnels.

Surf lessons

Many families head to the beach for the summer holidays. Go Ride A Wave have surf schools in many locations around the country and offer lessons for kids and adults!

Audible

I have been using Audible for a number of years now and love it. It has allowed me to read many more books and keep up with book group. It has also been an excellent way to keep up with ongoing learning and development for me. A few of my favourites from this year include:

  • Barking up the Wrong Tree The Surprising Science Behind Why Everything You Know About Success Is (Mostly) Wrong By: Eric Barker Narrated by: Roger Wayne
  • Sapiens By: Yuval Noah Harari Narrated by: Derek Perkins
  • Jasper Jones By: Craig Silvey Narrated by: Humphrey Bower
  • Rebirth A Fable of Love, Forgiveness, and Following Your Heart By: Kamal Ravikant Narrated by: David Pittu
  • Big Magic Creative Living Beyond Fear By: Elizabeth Gilbert Narrated by: Elizabeth Gilbert

Audible is only $16.45 per month and you can trial it as you get your first audiobook free and you can cancel anytime.

National Geographic Kids magazine subscription

Our youngest child was gifted a National Geographic Kids magazine subscription last year and it has been a huge hit. The magazine has full page pictures of animals which have made their way into frames and on the walls of bedrooms in the house. The magazine also has jokes and interesting facts which the kids love.
