5 gluten free lunch box recipes

I haven’t posted many lunch box recipes on the blog recently, but with the freelance work I do on Essential Kids, I have been creating recipes that I thought you would like! Here are 5 gluten free lunch box recipes that are easy to make and my kids love.

Homemade chicken and tomato sausages – Sausages are always a hit with the kids. These gluten free sausages are particularly great as not only will they love them, but also you know exactly what is in them! Use this recipe as a base and add your kids favourite veggies and herbs to create the perfect lunch box sausage for your child.

Gluten free buckwheat choc chip cookies –  This recipe uses buckwheat flour, which is naturally gluten free.

Gluten free chocolate cupcakes – With many allergies, school rules and food restrictions to cater for these gluten free chocolate cupcakes may just fit the bill for you. They are nut free, gluten free and cane sugar free. They make a large batch, so perfect for taking into the classroom for your child’s birthday.

Gluten free meatloaf – Meatloaf is a handy recipe to have up your sleeve. It is easy to cook, easy on the budget and you can stash one in the freezer easily to have for busy nights or to defrost for school lunches. NB. If you cannot have nut products at school, replace almond meal with gluten free plain flour.

Date and sunflower seed balls – Only two ingredients, freezable and super easy to make, these date and sunflower seed balls are perfect for the school lunchbox and as a snack for mum too!
