This give away has now closed.  Thank you to all who entered and the winners are:

Effie Bakkalis
My child’s favourite dinosaur is the Stegosaurus. He had a toy plastic one when he was little and literally became obsessed with it! In school last year he even devoted a whole project to that one species of dinosaur! Thanks for the great giveaway 🙂

Renee fortune
His favorite is a archaeopteryx a member of the oldest birds ever

Kathleen Parer
My kids love Mutti the Muttaburasaurus because he was a puppet character in a show at Questacon about why the dinosaurs became extinct. He is an Australian dinosaur.

Belinda Ban
My son always chose the long necked brachiosaurus because I guess he could relate to their gentle and passive nature…a lot like him!

Sheridan
My 5yo son loves T-Rex of course! He loved seeing the skeleton of it on the museum trip he did with his grandparents! Great prize!

Early this week the kids and I attended the preview screening of Sea Rex 3D at IMAX Melbourne.

We have seen a few of the IMAX 3D documentaries recently, like Born To Be Wild and To The Artic and we have really enjoyed them. They are all very entertaining but also each time the kids and myself have walked away with more knowledge about the world around us.

While my favourite story line from the three we have seen would be Born To be Wild, the 3D effects of Sea Rex 3D were by far the best. I sat next to the six year old who was constantly reaching out, “just checking”, to see if things were as close to him as they looked.

The documentary goes from the past to the present to explain when and where these amazing sea creatures were on the earth. They visit paleontologists from all over the world including one from Australia who share what their discoveries have taught us about the giant creatures of the sea.

You can see more about the movie in the trailer below (if reading in email you will need to click here to see the trailer).
