The fact that I completely missed the monthly review for April and didn’t realise it until I went to write this review is indicative of the pace my life has been racing along at currently!
Review of Key Tasks For April
Better late to review than never, so lets see how I went for April:
- Family Holiday

- Go out to dinner with the family
- Donate food to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre
We had the most amazing holiday to Hong Kong in April. A post is coming soon on that. It was the first time we traveled overseas as a family of seven. It was actually easier than I imagined and we created so many fantastic memories.
I had my book launch at the end of April and as I wrote in my wrap up post of the event, it was one of the best days of my life. The soft launch has moved up a gear and is now in full swing. I will be at Dymocks Chermside (Brisbane) Friday June 10th @ 10am and Dymocks Southland (Melbourne) Saturday 25 June at 12pm. If you live nearby to either of these stores it would be great to see you there. Kids are very welcome and I will have a colouring activity for them to do.
Key Tasks For June
The focus for June for me is better balance. There are lots of opportunities for me at the moment, but I need to start getting a little more sleep! I need to make better decisions about how I use my time. With this over arching goal for the month, I would like to achieve:
This is a goal for 2011 and Mr I’s birthday is in June, so it is the perfect month for us all to find a new place to eat out.
This was also part of my larger goals for 2011, to give on a quarterly basis. You can see a list of items that are needed on the ASRC website, but at the moment the Foodbank is in particular need of:
- tinned tomatoes
- canned tuna
- toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste and soap)
You can deliver food weekly, fortnightly or monthly. You can drop food off Monday to Friday 10am-5pm, Wednesday nights from 6pm-8pm or Saturday mornings (by prearrangement). Just come to 12 Batman Street, West Melbourne. From 10am-12 midday every Thursday you can drop off NEXT TO the Girl Guides Hall(vacant block of land), 107 Wingrove Street, Fairfield (off Station Street).

I now have NicoleAvery.com.au as an entrance point to all my online ventures. I have a content plan for Planning With Kids which takes me to the end of the year, but on of the other blogs have plans, so I need to get this sorted. Managing multiple blogs is tricky and to make it easier on myself I need to take a chunk of time out in June and write up content plans for them all.
The team at Wiley have done a fabulous job of securing publicity for the Planning With Kids book. I have written a number of articles that should be published over the coming months (will link to them when they are about!), however I really want to do some more local stuff. I know what I want to do, I just need to sit down and write it all up.
