Eco Toys And Baby Opening and Melbourne Mum Bloggers Meet Up

I originally found Eco Toys through Kate at Picklebums. Eco Toys sell the most gorgeous environmentally friendly and ethically made toys and baby supplies. So when she posted yesterday that she was going to be at Eco Toys and Baby’s new store launch today, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to meet Kate in person and peruse all the eco friendly goodness that Eco Toys have to offer.

The shop is beautifully set out and I haven’t seen a better collection of wooden toys anywhere in Melbourne. Don’t despair if you don’t live in Melbourne though, as they do have a well stocked online shop.

Their new store is located 651 Burwood Road Hawthorn East, which is just around the corner from Auburn Village. If you are not familiar with this little piece of Melbourne, it is a fabulous strip shopping precinct with a very earthy and natural emphasis. Along with the organic grocers, organic hairdresser, there is also Est which sell quite possibly the most beautiful handmade soaps ever! They actually make them in the back of the shop, which as a consequence makes the shop smell utterly divine.

Melbourne Mum Bloggers Meet Up

Still on a Melbourne slant, so apologies to my non-Melbourne readers, inspired by recently meeting Karen Andrews (Miscmum) at her book launch and then catching up today with Kate, I am going to attempt to organise a Melbourne Mum Bloggers Meet Up.

I was thinking of a morning (10.00am-ish) meet up at a centrally located child friendly cafe, so those of us who still have little ones at home, could come along with out fear of trashing a fancy establishment! The location of the cafe would depend on who is interested. If you are interested and I hope many of you are, could please either leave a comment or email me stating what day of the week works best for you. Nuffnang have also said if there is more than 10 of us, they would be happy to sponsor the meet up! Look forward to hearing from you and hopefully meeting you in person soon too 🙂 .
