Serabeena is a Melbourne based, family-owned business specialising in arts and crafts, craft supplies, creative and educational toys. What I love about the Serabeena products is that they are not passive. They are not the variety of toy that kids just need to push a button and wait for the toy to do something, but they require children to use their imagination and creativity.
The Glitter Diary is from their Make Your Own range of products. The diary came in a great gift box with the following:
- 150 page diary with lock and 2 keys
- 15ml Pearlwriter pen
- 6ml white glue pen
- 12 Gemstone Rhinestones
As you will see in the photo above, there was a one page instructions sheet that explained how to use the glue and pearl writer pen. There was no photos of what the diary should look like, so my daughter could decorate her diary using only her creativity.
Possum first placed the rhinestones on the cover of the diary where she wanted them to sit. When happy with her design, she then used the glue to stick them on.
To add some more glitz, Possum then used the Pearlwriter and to be honest I was impressed with her restraint! It looks so pretty and was so fun to use, that I though she might use the whole tube on the diary!
A few hours for the glue and Pearlwriter to dry and then Possum had her own personally decorated diary. I already have one key in my possession “just in case mum” and she has decided that she will write things down in the diary that she wants to share with her class at school when it her turn for “Show and Share” (Tuesdays are her day).
