What I love about this recipe is that it is quick, easy and tasty. I actually time it last week and from start to finish it took only 27 minutes and that included taking photos and having a baby on one hip for over half of it, so I am sure you could do it in 20 minutes with a little bit of pace. Although it cooks up quite a big dish, it is a light dish, so there is never very much left over from this meal for us any more.
Baked Penne Pasta Recipe

- 8 Rash Bacon Shortcut Rindless
- 500 Ml Pasta Sauce
- 2 Teaspoon Garlic Minced
- 1 Large Onion Brown
- 300 Ml Cream
- 1 Cup Cheese Parmesan Grated
- 2 Tablespoon Oil Olive
- 500 Gram Pasta Penne
Instructions:
This is a very quick to cook dish, that will feeds a lot of people and it reheats quite well.
- Boil water for pasta
- Finely chop onion.
- Cut bacon into thin strips approx 2cm x .1 cm.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan (I use an electric frying pan.)
- When heated to a moderate heat cook bacon to desired taste. I like it a bit crispy.
- Add onion and garlic and cook for another couple of minutes.
- Place pasta into boiling water.
- Add pasta sauce to frying pan and turn down heat slightly. Allow to simmer for 3 – 4 minutes.
- Add cream to frying pan and mix well. Turn up heat slightly, allow to bubble then reduce heat and allow to thicken.
- Heat grill on high.
- Drain pasta.
- Add pasta to the frying pan and combine well.
- Pour contents of the pan into a lasagne style dish and even out. Top with grated parmesan and place under the grill until cheese has melted and is a golden brown colour.
- Serve with some warm garlic bread!
