Banana Oat Balls

Banana Oat Balls
These Banana Oat Balls are so super easy to make, use ingredients you are likely to have on hand and were quickly gobbled up by the kids. They are a perfect for a snack or to pop into the lunch box. If you are after more ideas and tips on preparing food for the kids lunches, then check out my meal prep process.

The recipe makes about 18 balls, but you could easily double the mixture to make more.

Recipe type: Sweet treats
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups quick oats
  • 1 large banana
  • 3 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
Method:
  1. In a small bowl mash the banana. The riper the banana the better.
  2. Pour the sesame seeds into a small bowl and set aside.
  3. In a medium sized bowl add oats and mix in the mashed banana.
  4. Add the honey and mix well. After mixing with a spoon, I found it effective to use my hands to make sure the mixture was well combined.
  5. Using about a tablespoon of mixture. Roll into a ball and then roll into sesame seeds.
  6. Continue until all the mixture is used.
  7. Place in the fridge to set for at least 30 minutes.
  8. Keep in the fridge in an airtight container.
Notes:
If the mixture is too sticky then add extra oats.
