When I read “who is your Supergirl” tears came to my eyes. I have 2 Supergirls, however my 13 year old daughter is growing into a super strong young woman. She has more strength than me at times, and has come through some personal challenges over the past 10 years, such as family break up and moving from the US to make our new home in Victoria. She now has a new bigger family with 2 younger siblings which idolise her and she is a wonderful role model to them. I would love her to receive something like this, she would be blown away with excitement, as you would expect a 13 year to feel, and she really deserves the prize .

During the school holidays our daughter had the opportunity to celebrate her birthday a little early, thanks to Warner Bros Consumer Products. To celebrate the release of the all new Supergirl clothing range, (which will be available in Target only from the 22nd November), our almost 9 year old had 9 friends come along to party with her at Bounce in Malvern.

If you haven’t heard of Bounce, it is amazing. The girls had a brilliant time and my older boys have also been there and love it. It is a massive indoor trampoline centre where kids and adults alike cannot only jump, but also play dodgeball and free fall into a foam pit.

As a gift to all the girls for coming along, at the start of the party they each could choose clothing from the Supergirl range to wear. The range is perfect for this age group, with very much a surfy feel to the clothes including brightly coloured singlets, tees and dresses.

It was interesting to see what items the girls chose when left to make the decisions. The tie-dye range was super popular! As were the dresses.

The clothing was then taken through its paces by the girls as they:

ran!

flipped!

kicked!

and reached for the stars!

And with a bit of teamwork they climbed their way to the top of the trampoline wall to rest and catch their breath.

Before it was off to the party room where surprise goody bags waited for them!

Of course there was cake and the happy birthday song.

And then it was time for very happy, but tuckered out girls to go home!

My gorgeous daughter, a beautiful surprise after having four sons. She is a little character, a leader and she can be very bossy to her big brothers and dad. She lights up a room, is caring, intuitive and makes everyone smile. My little princess, my little sweetheart.

Without a doubt my supergirl is my 11 year old daughter, She has dyslexia and struggles so hard at school, being extremely tall doesn’t help, but she has turned that to her advantage and plays basketball. She always finds the positives in life and told me the other day “You can only be who you are mum” I love my baby girl and she really is brave and courageous.
