When we plan out what we do for school holidays, pretty much every time master 6 nominates for his choice going to a skate park as one of the activities he would like to do.
We usually just go to a local skate park, but I had heard about Ramp It Melbourne – an indoor skate park located in Mitcham and thought we would give it a try.
Master 13 was playing golf with friends and was disappointed not be able to come along and check it out.
Our kids don’t have skateboards, but do have scooters, so we took those along. We did hire one scooter for $5 as we were one short.
The preschooler gave it a great go, but as you can see, he didn’t quite get it!
Using a variety of ways to get his scooter on to the ramps.
There are a few different areas for parents to watch the kids and children over the age of 10 can be left unattended.
The centre has a shop and a lounge area. As you can’t see the kids from the lounge area, I didn’t sit there as I needed to keep a close eye on master 3.
The highlight for master 11 as the foam pit, which you could fling yourself into.
Don’t send the kids along in good clothes if they are likely to spend some time on the ground, as their bottoms will gather quite a bit of dust!
Master 6 was very happy with the indoor skate park and has told me already he will choose to do it again next school holidays.
