Happy New Year! I hope you are not suffering too much of a hang over. Have you made any new year’s resolutions or set personal goals for 2012?

As I noted in my review of my own personal goals for 2011, I am going to do things a little differently this year.

I am only setting four goals, when previously I have set 10. Before I set my goals I did some reading, knowing that 2012 is going to be bringing change for me.

I sometimes find change a little scary and it can take me awhile to find my feet. IN my reading, I actually spent quite a lot of time going through the archives of Seth Godin’s blog.

Seth Godin has written thirteen bestseller books. He writes about the post-industrial revolution, the way ideas spread, marketing, quitting, leadership and most of all, changing everything. His posts can often be quite short and make me question what I am doing, not only with the blog but in my personal life too.

I made a collection of quotes and have made an inspiration board from it. They have helped me shape my goals for 2012.

Goals for 2012
1. - Blog- Complete make over of blog, to be completed by March.
- Grow the blog to a business.
2. - FamilyReintroduce a regular games night.
3. - PartnerWeekend away on our own (carry over from 2011!)
4. - MeChange the way I eat - more balanced (less carbs).

I will keep them close by to keep me focused and use them as inspiration to help me achieve my goals.

Love your inspiration board Nic….how did you create it? I would love to do one as a screen saver if possible.

My fave Seth Godin quote at the moment “You don’t need a new plan for next year. You need a commitment”.

    Happy 2012 :)

I’m in the process of getting my inspiration/vision board together. I choose words to work towards my goals with – I just need to put them in a place of prominence!
All the best for the year ahead.

    Happy New Year, Nicole!

My husband and I are currently stewing over some enormous changes we hope to make this year and the “real change is uncomfortable” quote just sent a very real and uncomfortable jolt through my stomach.

As for resolutions, I’ve committed to clearing our home of 2012 unneeded, unwanted and unnecessary items this year. 5.6 things a day!

The real change thing will be my big challenge this year – good luck with yours.

5.6 things a day – my husband would love that!
