On Friday I had the pleasure to fly up to Brisbane for my first book store appearance at Dymocks Chermside.
[flickr id=”5821176582″ thumbnail=”medium” align=”center”]I was met at the airport by the lovely Joanne Foster from my publisher Wiley (Wright Books) and we headed straight to the store. Thanks to Joanne and the team at Wiley for helping to organise the morning.
[flickr id=”5820638011″ thumbnail=”medium” align=”center”]The very helpful manager of Dymocks Chermside, Rosy, had the store set up beautifully for my talk, including a lovely morning tea with fruit for the kids and cake and real coffee for the adults. Thank you for having me and making my first store appearance such a lovely time.

After the store, thanks to Danielle from Hello Owl and Cath from Squiggle Mum we had a lovely bloggy meet up over lunch.

Nikki from Styling You has a great post reflecting on our meet up and on the value of bloggers meeting up in person and some more great photos from the lunch. I heartily agree with her post. I left the lunch feeling inspired by women I admire and encouraged by their support. As Nikki so aptly tweeted “it was good for the bloggy soul”!
Thanks to everyone who came along, to those who couldn’t make it due to sick kids (their timing is always impecable!) and to those who read this blog. The blog and the book have seen me take a journey I couldn;t have even imagined a few years ago, your ongoing support has helped make this happen – thank you!
And one last thank you – to my friend dear Justine who I had such fantastic time with. Thanks you for such a relaxing and restful time. It was sad to go yesterday – looking forward to seeing you in August!
