I have a tonne of sites that actually read to children too, that are free, they are currently bookmarked in my resources tab, just need to find the time to move them to my delicious site {which is delicious.com/carly_grace and there is currently 10 pages worth of sites and resources there for almost everything 3+ that I use and would recommend!
Oh enchanted learning too is fantastic!

I love starfall! I have used that with the older kids, but didn't think to check it out for the preschooler. As for downloadable games, I don't know of any. I have asked on my facebook page and will let you know if I get any answers. I did recently buy Storybook Weaver off ebay (bought it from someone in the US and it was still cheaper that what I could buy it here). My children have all used this in the classroom in Prep. The software allows them to create their own book. They build the background, add objects and then once they can write words. You can print it out or have the computer read the story to you.
Trish - Hope your boys enjoy them.

Kate – Thanks for reminding me about crickweb.
