ecoStore Baby Care Products

Give away has now closed.

I was lucky enough to receive a set of ecoSTORE Baby Care Products to try out on my gorgeous baby. The timing was perfect as I was able to take them to Mildura with me when we went away last Friday. Over the four days that we were there the temperature in Mildura was 36, 38, 39 and 40 degrees celsius! Given that my parent’s house where I was staying is only partially air conditioned and that the kids insisted on still playing outside, bathing the baby before his sleep time was the best way to calm and cleanse the little fella so he could get some rest.

The Sleepytime Bath is an aromatherapy blend of lavender and geranium and it smells divine. After his bath bubs was much more composed, smelling sweet and feeling very clean. (Mildura is particularly famous for its red dirt, that he was continuously covered in.) Although I love the hot weather, when I was bathing bubs before his sleeps, I did take the opportunity to alternate soaking my hands and feet in the water to freshen myself up a little too.

ecoSTORE products are made using natural plant and mineral based ingredients and do not contain any nasty chemicals. You can check out their listing on their website to see the full list of what their products do not contain, but in brief their products do not contain toxic petrochemicals, propylene glycol, parabens, sodium lauryl sulphates (SLS), synthetic dyes or perfumes, mineral oils or paraffin.

The baby shampoo and massage oil also have a similar gentle and clean smell. I particular liked that the massage oil didn’t leave baby or I overly slippery. It gave enough lubrication to make the massage pleasant for baby, but without being too messy. I have to admit, that this massage was the first one that bubs had received in about 6 months! My three year old was fascinated by the process and then proceeded to lay down next to his brother, lining up for his turn. I wasn’t sure that he would like having the oil rubbed on him, but he loved it, telling me that next time I give the baby a massage, he would like another one too!

The Give Away!!!!

The kind folks at ecoSTORE are giving readers of Planning With Kids an opportunity to win a baby care pack. The pack includes all the following items:

To enter all you need to do is simply leave a comment below. Just because you don’t have a baby doesn’t mean you shouldn’t enter! If you know someone who has had a baby recently, this would make the perfect gift. The give away is open to Australian residents and entries must be received before midday Friday 13th November 2009 AEDT. Winner will be chosen using Random.Org and announced on the blog Friday evening.

This is the start of what will be a regular monthly give away here on Planning With Kids. On the first Friday of each month, I will review a product or service and hold an associated give away. These are not paid reviews and express my honest opinion on the products. For further information on reviews on this blog, please click here.

I’d love to find a baby product that doesn’t make dermatitis worse. An itching baby is not a happy baby!

I use this brand of products in the kitchen and they are awesome! I didn’t realise they had kids products too! The organic shop I shop at in Yarraville doesn’t have the little people products. I’ll definately try these on my little fella. Hope your bub is going well. Love your work – read your site every day!
