10 Recipes To Try (When I Find Some Time!!)

I have just started exploring a few food blogs recently. There is so much inspiration out there, I wish I just had a little more time to try them out. If I did have some spare time, I would like to give these a go:

1. Homemade Strawberry Roll Ups

Also known as strawberry leather, this recipe from Gourmet.com has only two ingredients: strawberries and sugar! It would definitely be a special treat for the kids, but I think theses would be fun to make.

2. Homemade Granola Recipe

I think not only would this be a great breakfast, but would also be a tasty snack to have at the ready.

A Dutch blogger, Kay has some amazing recipes and beautiful photos to match. I have never made a “Pesto Rosso” and this looks delish on some bread.

4. Carrot and Maple Syrup Soup

Posted on Problogger’s personal website Darren Rowse this sweet soup might be another that I can get the kids to eat. Originally featured in ABC’s Delicious Magazine (August 2009), this soup sounds lovely and sweet.

5. Frosting Filled Vanilla Cupcakes

Heather made these gorgeous cup cakes for her graduation. I like the concept of the frosting being inside the cake – this would be much less mess with the kiddos.

6. Healthy Chicken Sausage Rolls

Christine from Fig and Cherry has a twist on the standard sausage roll using chicken. I am not a fan of the traditional version so would definitely like to give this a go.

7. Watermelon Lemonade

I think that I was drawn to this recipe on smitten kitten because it is so summery. In the last month of winter here in Melbourne, I long for days when it will be seasonally appropriate to have watermelon lemonade.

8. Banana Bourbon Bread With Maple Sugar

Not sure I have ever heard of maple sugar before and if I could source it here, but the idea of bourbon in this cake appealed to me! Sassy Radish has some very inventive recipes like broccoli slaw on her site, so be sure to look around when you head over there.

9. Homemade Creamy Chive Dip

My kids love a wrap style meal and this would make a nice change from the souvlaki meal that we have been having lately. I do looking forward to trying this recipe from Annie’s Eats.
