I didn't think it was very surprising that one of the mothers was in tears listening to her baby cry in another room. My little one is just about to turn one and he cried MUCH more than he slept for the first 3 weeks. There were definitely times it would have been easier to have walked away and left him to cry, but doing what Claire Verity was advocating would have gone against every motherly instinct i had.
