We do the same at Christmas time also. Email is easier for me to do and I can get it done in a timely manner. Guerita's first birthday was completely rained out and instead of having our huge backyard available we all crammed into our tiny family room! Very hard with a lot of toddlers around! We did rig up a big tarp over the paved area when we could see the rain coming, but still - not quite what we had planned.
