A - Sound like we have similar approach to buying toys. But after writing this post I had a look around and some of toys my kids have that I like is made of plastic - lego, duplo, kid k'nex, Little People etc, so I probably have a way to go, before my purchasing pattern is truly Green. However there is a balance I think - I could never be a only wooden toy household, but I can certainly limit what we buy of plastic nature and where we buy it from.

Gyspy - I share the dream - especially the Elle MacPherson part and that we have to be active in pushing for change.

I have a dream ... when I can walk into a Westfield, and find great quality, natural toys. And then find clothing that isn't made in china. Of course, the clothing will immediately make me into an Elle MacPherson lookalike. But serioulsly, the more of us that ask at shops, the more likely they are to realise there is a social change afoot.

Gypsy's last blog post..Material Girl

What a great step. Even if it is only a small one, at least it is heading in a better direction.
I don't usually buy plastic toys for my girls. The only heavily commercial, plastic toys in the house were either a gift or from the op shop.
Soft toys I hadn't really thought about - I will now though, thanks :)
